Build number: HOMTOM-HT7-Android 5.1-V2.0.3-2016/2/19. It is very nice to see that a budget smartphone like this gets 2 OTA firmware updates in just a week, that tells a lot about HomTom care for its customers. First, the phone came with firmware version 1.1.2 and HOMTOM-HT7-Android 5.1-V1.1.2-2015/12/31 as build number, than on Feb. 15 it got the update to version 2.0.1 and on Feb. 19 the smartphone updated the firmware to v.2.0.3.
Root: Firmware is not rooted.

It played smoothly almost all video file types; this firmware version fully supports 11 video & audio format files, it partially supports 17 video & audio format files and doesn't manage to play only 2 files.
Wifi Internet speed tested gets also best values: about 43 Mbps in download and the upload speed was about 40 Mbps.
Conclusion
This is probably one of the best budget smartphone out there for less than $60, and the support from HomTom company is incredible, I really like it.
