Video & Photo Gallery: Qintex Q9S Smart TV Box - First impressions & Quick Review



As I told you in this article, Qintex Company send me a few weeks ago a new Amlogic SA905 Android TV Box: Qintex Q9S Smart TV Box model. Here you'll find a photo gallery and a video with the unboxing of this nice device.

Qintex Q9S TV Box has an elegant and compact design, with aluminium case and a front power button & digital display. On the right side it has the SD/MMC card reader and 2 full size USB ports. In the rear you can find the WiFi external antenna, reset button, another full size USB port, HDMI 2.0 out, Ethernet LAN RJ45 Gigabit 1000M port, AV out, 3,5 mm audio out, Optical audio out and power port. The overall impression is very good, the device looks to be constructed with big care to details.

Qintex Q9S TV Box comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The model adopts the latest quad core S905 chipset from Amlogic. For connectivity the device includes wired Ethernet RJ45 Gigabit 1000M, 802.11 a/b/g/n Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Infra Red receiver on board.

Root: Good News. The firmware is rooted, you just have to install SuperSU or Super User  from Playstore.

Qintex Q9S Smart TV Box
The firmware is just great with a beautiful launcher, one of best in its class till now, with big tiles and easy customisation.

In Antutu Video Tester 3.0 Qintex Q9S Smart TV Box scores 913 points, an impressive score in this test ranking. It played smoothly almost all video file types; this firmware version fully supports 27 video & audio format files and it partially supports 3 video & audio format files.In Antutu Benchmark 6.0.4 the device achieves also an amazing score, over 36.000 points.


As you can see, Qintex Q9S Smart TV Box is a very good and powerful multimedia player giving you the power to transform your living room into a real 4k Home Theater. 

Internet speed tested on both WiFi & Ethernet gets good values too. For WiFi connection, the download speed was 27 Mbps and the upload speed 30 Mbps (5 Ghz) and 9 Mbps in download and the upload speed 7 Mbps (2.4 Ghz). Wired, on Gigabit Ethernet connection, the download speed was 53 Mbps and the upload speed 53 Mbps. The router used in this test is Xiaomi Mi WiFi Router.

Build number: HOMTOM-HT7-Android 5.1-V2.0.3-2016/2/19. It is very nice to see that a budget smartphone like this gets 2 OTA firmware updates in just a week, that tells a lot about HomTom care for its customers. First, the phone came with firmware version 1.1.2 and HOMTOM-HT7-Android 5.1-V1.1.2-2015/12/31 as build number, than on Feb. 15 it got the update to version 2.0.1 and on Feb. 19 the smartphone updated the firmware to v.2.0.3.
Root: Firmware is not rooted.



Available features: Dual SIM,  Radio FM, Tethering, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0,  A-GPS, GPS, Microphone, Camera Flash, USB Host, OTA Sync, System Body Feeling, Smart Wake, Magic Thumb, Xender, Sound Enhancement, MiraVision, Scheduled Power On & Off, Printing.

Sensors available on device: Accelerometer, Proximity & Light sensor.

Real Life Benchmark & Tests
In Antutu Benchmark 6.0.4 HomTom HT7 achieves a good score, about  24.500 points. In Antutu Video Tester 3.0 HomTom HT7 scores 602 points, a fair score in this test ranking. It played smoothly almost all video file types; this firmware version fully supports 11 video & audio format files, it partially supports 17 video & audio format files and doesn't manage to play only 2 files.

Wifi Internet speed tested gets also best values: about 43 Mbps in download and the upload speed was about 40 Mbps. 

Conclusion
This is probably one of the best budget smartphone out there for less than $60, and the support from HomTom company is incredible, I really like it.

Video & Photo Gallery: First Run of Voyo V2 32GB+64GB 5000mAh Windows 10 Mini PC. Download Windows 10 drivers


Voyo V2 32GB+64GB 5000mAh Windows 10 Mini PC is equipped with a Baytrail Intel processor and Windows 10 that allows us to perform any task. It’s almost like a powerfull small PC that includes a small internal battery so we could use it anywhere, even without power supply. Here you'll find the unboxing of this great device.

It came with Windows 10 Home 64bit edition, build 10240. Everything is already set up, and the user name is 'voyo'. This version is activated and everything is just ok. All the drivers are correctly installed and untill now everything runs just great. On the first run, there were 19.4 GB free on C: partition, from 28.6 GB (32 GB eMMC). The second partition (D:) has 58.7 GB free from 58.8 GB (64 GB SSD). The Intel Atom X5-Z8300 Cherry trail Processor is clocked at 1.33 GHz, according to Windows 10 Home OS.

The box came with s905_103L1 older version firmware but now it has latest firmware s905_104L1 firmware. You can download this latest stock firmware version from here and flash firmware according to this video tutorial.
