How to Root Ulefone Power


To install TWRP Recovery you will need latest version of Flash Tools and TWRP Recovery v3.0; also you will need set of universal driver. You can download the  'Ulefone Power Root' archive from here, here or here. (84 MB)

- Driver_Auto_Installer_v5.1453.03.zip

Drivers Installation
1.Unzip Driver_Auto_Installer_v5.1453.03 archive.
2.Disable driver signature enforcement (Tutorial 1 or  Tutorial 2)
3.Go to the unzipped archive and open Universal_Adb_Driver as an Administrator.
4.Follow the instructions of the installation program.

TWRP Recovery installation
1.Unzip Flash Tools archive.
2.Unzip TWRP Recovery archive.
3.Open flash_tool file in the Flash Tools folder. We recommend you to do that as an administrator.
4.Open Options in the left upper corner. Go to Download and check USB Checksum. Close it Options window.
5.Press Scatter-Loading
6.In TWRP-3.0.0-megthebest-Ulefone-Power folder (from the unzipped TWRP Recovery archive) find the MT6753_Android_scatter- TWRP 3.0 file, choose it and press Open.
7.Press Download button.
8.Turn off your phone.
9.Connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable.
10.Wait until Flash Tools finish installing TWRP Recovery to your phone.
11.Disconnect the phone.
12.Press and hold for some time vol+ and Power on buttons.
13.In the appeared menu choose Recovery. Use vol+ to navigate, and vol- to choose.

 
 
 
 


How to get ROOT access
1.Go to TWRP Recovery.
2.Press Reboot.
3.Follow the Installation program instructions.

Install Guide - OTA Update
Search the new OTA update firmware from Settings menu or directly from 'System update' application, download it and install it. The device will reboot and enter into Recovery Mode to install the new update. The whole process will take a few minutes, so please be patient.

Install Guide - Local Update
Download the new firmware from the above links, extract and copy 'update.zip' to a micro SD Card, insert the card into Probox2 Z TV Box. Open 'UPDATE&BACKUP' application, press 'Select' button, choose the update file and then press 'Update' button. The device will reboot and enter into Recovery Mode to install the new update. The whole process will take a few minutes, so please be patient.

Tutorial on how to update firmware online
First, you need to make sure to connect to the internet the Q9S TV Box, via WiFi or Ethernet connection. Next go to 'My apps' tab and launch 'OtaUpgrade' application (not 'Update&Backup'), click on 'Network Upgrade' and next select 'qintex-ota-20151208.zip' option. The TV Box will download the firmware update in a few minutes, then will reboot in recovery and it will install the new firmware version. The entire process will last about 5-6 minutes, so be patient. For more details please watch the below video tutorial.

Tutorial on how to update firmware from local storage
You can also download latest Android Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware for Qintex Q9S TV Box from here, here or from here. Next you can copy the zip. firmware archive on a SD card or USB memory flash and use local update method. This time use Update&Backup application, press 'Select' button an choose the firmware from your removable storage, select 'qintex-ota-20151208' image and the pres 'Update' button. The box will reboot in recovery and it will install the new firmware version. The entire process will last about 5-6 minutes, so be patient.

How to Install TWRP Recovery and root Xiaomi Redmi Note 3


Things to have in mind before starting
- Ensure that you have installed necessary USB drivers for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on phone by following the below method.
- Create a backup of all data of the phone before following the root method.
- Check the battery percentage of the phone, it should be at least 80%.
- Rooting the device will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
- The CWM recovery, ADB files and the SuperSU files are compatible with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Applying these on any incorrect variant might brick the device. Therefore, check the model number of the phone by navigating to Settings>> About device>> Model number.
- We will not be held liable for any damage to the device.

Download necessary files
Download 'Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Install TWRP Recovery' archive from here, here or here. (29 MB) Archive content: ADB-Driver-v1.4.2 KarbonnROMS, Minimal ADB by Devs-Lab, twrp.img & UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.4600).

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 how to Install TWRP recovery
Step 1: Download the SuperSU.zip & ADB files. Extract the ADB zip file using any extracting tool like winrar or 7zip. Place the recovery img file in the ADB extracted folder.
Step 2: Now in your Redmi note 3, Goto Settings>General Settings>About Phone, Tap on Android version for seven times, until you see, “You are now a Developer!”
Step 3: Go Back to Settings>General Settings>Developer Options. Enable USB Debugging mode & connect your device to your PC. Launch the ADB drivers file & You’ll see Redmi Note 3 as device name, Click on Install, to Install the necessary ADB Drivers.
Step 4: Now launch command.bat file from the ADB folder, type below command in the window to check if everything is done. (Press Yes in the window that will appear in your device to authorize.)
Step 5: Now type the below command to reboot your device into bootloader
Step 6: Now for the final step of installing the custom recovery, type the below command:
Step 7: That’s all, you have successfully flash TWRP Recovery in your device.

 
 

Root Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
1. To boot into recovery, Goto Settings> Updater>Click on — button & Click on Reboot to Recovery.
2. Click on Install & locate the downloaded SuperSU.zip file. Swipe to Install, that’s it! You have successfully rooted your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
